Karina Garcia joined PeopleScout June 2014 as a Veteran Career Counselor supporting the Wal-Mart Veterans Welcome Home Commitment Program. As a Veteran Career Counselor, she assisted veterans with their transitioning process by providing professional career advice and helping with resume building. Prior to PeopleScout, she served 5 years in the United States Marine Corps as a Food Service Specialist and Marine Corps Embassy Security Guard until her discharge in 2013. She is currently a senior at DePaul University majoring in Communications and Media. With her degree focus, she now works as a Marketing Coordinator with the Communications and Marketing Team for PeopleScout. Karina is a mother of 6-year-old son Jovani and spends most of her free time taking him out to explore the city.
